Job Title: Head of HSE 

Job Description:

A prominent infrastructure and construction contractor in the UAE is seeking a Head of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) to lead safety initiatives across large-scale civil and infrastructure projects. This senior-level role is critical in shaping and executing robust HSE strategies, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and embedding a strong safety culture across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement company-wide HSE policies and strategic plans tailored to major infrastructure projects.

• Conduct detailed site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety hazards.

• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE laws and international standards, promoting best practices at all levels.

• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to embed proactive safety planning into daily operations.

• Deliver regular training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs for staff and subcontractors.

• Analyze incident trends, develop preventative strategies, and maintain up-to-date HSE documentation.

• Establish HSE performance indicators and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

• NEBOSH IGC certification or equivalent is mandatory.

• 12–15 years of HSE experience in infrastructure or civil construction, preferably within the GCC region.

• Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on, collaborative approach.

• Proven ability to influence and guide teams toward a culture of zero harm and compliance excellence.
