GEMS Education is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Gifted and Talented to lead the strategic direction, development, and implementation of gifted and talented (G&T) education across its network of schools. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and opportunity for exceptional learners while promoting equity and access across all schools.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive G&T strategy aligned with GEMS’ mission and goals.

• Position GEMS as a leader in G&T education through groundbreaking programmes and university/industry partnerships.

• Establish Centers of Excellence as hubs for innovation and collaboration across the network.

Programme Management

• Oversee G&T identification, enrichment, and development programs across all schools.

• Design and lead signature initiatives like the Youth Parliament and GEMS for Life, fostering leadership and civic engagement.

• Develop scholarship strategies to ensure access to world-class opportunities for talented students.

Educator Development

• Lead professional development on advanced G&T pedagogy for teaching staff.

• Drive the integration of educational technology and innovative teaching tools across G&T programmes.

Partnerships & Engagement

• Forge strong partnerships with top universities, industry leaders, and global organizations.

• Develop summer schools, mentorships, and career pathway programmes.

Monitoring, Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure all G&T initiatives comply with educational regulations and standards.

• Provide ongoing reports to senior leadership on student outcomes, trends, and strategic impact.

• Create and present policies that support progressive and equitable G&T practices.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or Educational Leadership (specialization in G&T preferred).

• Certification in gifted education or advanced talent development is an advantage.

Experience

• 10+ years in education, with at least 5 years in leadership roles focused on G&T or advanced learning.

• Proven success designing and managing G&T initiatives at a school, regional, or system level.

• Experience in building and sustaining partnerships with universities and industries.
