Job Title: Head Fashion Designer

About the Role:

Quest Search and Selection is partnering with a renowned fashion retail group in the Gulf region to hire a Head Fashion Designer in Dubai. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong understanding of global fashion trends, innovation, and trend forecasting to elevate product design and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Strategy & Planning

• Conduct market research on fashion trends, fabrics, and design techniques.
• Develop seasonal themes and mood boards in collaboration with the design team.
• Align product development strategies with business goals.
• Oversee the entire design process, from concept to final styling.

✅ Designing & Product Development

• Develop collections with 30-50 options, covering all categories.
• Review and finalize design collections with the Senior Designer and MD.
• Create CAD pre-designs and technical sheets (Tech Packs) for production.

✅ Merchandising & Supplier Relations

• Maintain and build relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality production.
• Coordinate sample production, approvals, and quality checks.
• Plan, review, and order collections for timely arrivals.
• Negotiate pricing and ensure high-quality standards.

✅ Studio & Photoshoot Management

• Supervise photoshoots to ensure collections are presented as envisioned.
• Assist stylists in selecting outfit combinations to match the brand aesthetic.

✅ Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor, and train the design team to foster creativity and innovation.
• Evaluate team performance, providing support and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

📌 Experience & Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Fashion Design, specializing in creating fashion collections.
• Strong understanding of trends, style, color, and fabrics to develop innovative designs.
• Proven experience in the export fashion industry.
• Expertise in fabrics, colors, prints, trims, and material selection.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and CAD software.

📌 Education

• Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field is preferred.
