Job Title: General Surgeon

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a highly skilled General Surgeon with specialist medical and surgical knowledge to join our medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and performing surgeries on patients. General surgeons are expected to demonstrate excellent decision-making skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to work effectively under pressure, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine patients and make diagnoses to determine the need for surgery.
• Review patients’ medical history and plan the most appropriate surgical procedures.
• Evaluate and advise patients on the risks involved with surgery and ensure their understanding.
• Perform surgical procedures to prevent or correct injury, disease, deformities, and restore patient function while adhering to regulatory and ethical standards.
• Follow established surgical techniques during surgeries to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Prescribe and manage preoperative and postoperative treatments and procedures.
• Ensure all operating room equipment and instruments are sterile and safe to use.
• Direct and coordinate hospital staff to ensure proper patient care and treatment.
• Oversee the treatment of patients before and after surgery, identifying and managing associated risks.
• Maintain patient dignity and ensure the adherence to the American Hospital Association’s Bill of Rights for patients.
• Plan and execute disease prevention and health promotion programs.
• Coordinate follow-up meetings with patients, monitoring their health conditions after surgery or treatment.
• Conduct research to improve surgical techniques and innovate procedures.

Requirements:

• Degree in Medicine (essential).
• 5 years of residency training in General Surgery (essential).
• Valid state medical license (essential).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing as a General Surgeon.
• Exceptional manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and visuospatial awareness.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent decision-making, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Emotionally resilient with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Proven management and leadership skills to lead surgical teams effectively.

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 85,000 per month, inclusive of fixed allowances.
