ACCEL Human Resource Consultants, a trusted name in HR and recruitment services across the GCC, is hiring on behalf of a reputable retail client for the position of General Accountant based in Dubai, UAE.

We are looking for a diligent and experienced accounting professional to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of accounting practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for candidates already residing in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure the integrity of the general ledger

• Process invoices, receipts, journal entries, and vendor payments

• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable

• Reconcile bank statements and maintain up-to-date cash flow records

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other local financial laws

• Support internal and external audits and prepare relevant documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3–5 years of accounting experience within the UAE, preferably in the retail sector

• Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms

• In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT regulations

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

• Candidates must currently be based in the UAE
