Job Description

Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is looking for a passionate Game Designer to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid role, you’ll contribute to the creation and ongoing development of live-service, free-to-play mobile games. You’ll help shape gameplay mechanics, features, systems, and user experience, ensuring top-tier quality that meets both player expectations and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate game design documentation, including systems, balance, UI flows, and meta-gameplay

• Collaborate with artists, programmers, producers, and audio teams to implement features aligned with creative and business goals

• Integrate game assets and provide hands-on testing and feedback to refine gameplay

• Analyze player feedback and community input to inform live game updates and improvements

• Monitor and enhance the balance and progression of in-game systems

• Contribute to studio knowledge of mobile F2P best practices and emerging trends

• Stay updated on market trends and incorporate them into design thinking

• Participate actively in creative ideation and iteration cycles

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional experience as a Game Designer

• In-depth knowledge of mobile game design, especially Free-to-Play (F2P) models

• Experience with data-driven design and gameplay balancing

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to take ownership and show initiative within a team-oriented environment

• Passion for gaming and understanding of player behavior

• Positive, collaborative attitude with strong attention to detail
