Position Overview:
HLOG Dubai is seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Forwarding Operations & Commercial Manager to lead and manage our end-to-end freight forwarding services. You will be responsible for overseeing operations, ensuring compliance, streamlining logistics processes, and driving business growth through client acquisition and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Lead day-to-day freight operations, ensuring timely booking, dispatch, customs clearance, and delivery.

• Monitor and improve operational workflows to maintain service efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Implement best practices in freight forwarding operations across all modes (air, sea, land).

Vendor & Carrier Coordination:

• Manage relationships with freight carriers, customs brokers, and third-party vendors.

• Negotiate competitive rates and service terms while maintaining quality and timelines.

Regulatory & Customs Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to UAE customs regulations and international shipping protocols.

• Oversee documentation, licensing, and clearance procedures for all shipments.

Customer & Client Relationship Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients.

• Resolve service issues promptly while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Customize solutions based on individual client logistics needs.

Business Development & Sales:

• Identify and secure new business opportunities in the freight forwarding market.

• Develop and deliver tailored commercial proposals and quotations.

• Achieve and exceed revenue targets and growth KPIs.

Team Leadership & Reporting:

• Manage and mentor a team of logistics professionals.

• Foster a performance-driven and collaborative work environment.

• Prepare and present operational and financial reports to senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in freight forwarding operations and commercial roles, ideally within the UAE or GCC.

• Solid knowledge of international shipping, customs compliance, and logistics software.

• Experience with tender management and developing commercial strategies.

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic or French is a plus.
