Job Title: Foreign Currency Exchange Teller

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Foreign Currency Exchange Teller to join our team in JBR, Dubai. As an FCY Teller, you will play a critical role in facilitating currency exchange transactions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your responsibilities will include handling foreign currency exchanges, maintaining strict cash handling procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Currency Exchange Operations:

   • Conduct currency exchanges for customers, buying foreign currencies according to company policies and market rates.

   • Accurately count, authenticate, and verify foreign currency using detection tools.

   • Apply the correct exchange rates as per daily updates from the Head Cashier or management.

2. Cash Handling & Accuracy:

   • Maintain strict accuracy in cash handling during buy-side transactions.

   • Immediately report any discrepancies (shortages or overages) to the Head Cashier.

   • Securely organize currency according to vault and drawer protocols.

3. Compliance & AML/KYC:

   • Verify customer identities following KYC guidelines, particularly for high-value transactions.

   • Flag and report suspicious transactions to the Compliance Department or Head Cashier.

   • Record all transactions in compliance with UAE regulations and internal policies.

4. Customer Service:

   • Provide excellent service by greeting customers and addressing their inquiries about currency exchange.

   • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.

5. System Entry & Documentation:

   • Enter all transaction details accurately into the system (Remitex or equivalent).

   • Ensure all FCY-related documentation is properly scanned, filed, and recorded.

   • Balance and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong cash handling accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Proficiency in computer systems and data entry.

• Ability to manage time efficiently and work under pressure.

• Strong understanding of foreign currency trends and exchange rates.

• Knowledge of AML, KYC, and compliance regulations.

• Integrity, trustworthiness, and confidentiality in handling customer information.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in cash handling or foreign exchange operations.

• Location: Residing in the UAE.

• Gender: Male.

• Age: Between 20-35 years.
