Food Safety Manager
Inspire Selection Dubai , UAE
  • A leading confectionery production facility based in JAFZA, Dubai, is hiring a Food Safety Manager to oversee food safety systems and compliance with international standards. This is a full-time, on-site role offering a competitive salary based on experience. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of UAE experience in the food manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage food safety systems including HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000.

  • Lead internal and external food safety audits (certification, customer, and regulatory).

  • Assess and mitigate food safety risks throughout the production process.

  • Ensure compliance with UAE and international food safety regulations.

  • Conduct inspections of production, storage, and packaging to uphold hygiene standards.

  • Investigate food safety incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain protocol compliance.

  • Maintain documentation such as SOPs, training records, traceability logs, and recall systems.

  • Train staff on hygiene, sanitation, and food safety responsibilities.

  • Oversee allergen control, pest management, and sanitation verification.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of food safety management experience, preferably in confectionery or food production.

  • Strong command of HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC, and other global food safety frameworks.

  • Proven experience in audit management and regulatory compliance.

  • In-depth understanding of hygiene practices, allergen management, and traceability.

  • Skilled in root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).

  • Strong documentation and communication abilities.

  • Proficient in MS Office, QMS software, and ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HACCP (Level 3 or 4), ISO 22000 certifications.

  • Experience working with confectionery products and bakery operations.

  • Knowledge of food fraud prevention and defense systems.

  • Experience with product recalls and withdrawal procedures.
