ACWA Power is seeking a Field Operator – I to join the operations team at Hassyan Power Plant. The role involves close coordination with the Central Control Room Operator (CCRO) to operate valves, dampers, and equipment, monitor plant conditions, and ensure safe isolation of equipment for maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support CCRO in system configuration for local line-up and isolation of equipment.

• Monitor and record local parameters such as levels, pressure, and temperatures.

• Inspect plant conditions through observation, sound, vibrations, and heat detection.

• Report leaks of steam, water, oil, coal, fuel gas, flue gas, or air.

• Perform manual operation of valves, dampers, and equipment.

• Check and report valve and safety equipment conditions to CCR.

• Record shift activities in logbooks and maintain area log sheets.

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Switch between automatic/manual controls and isolate equipment for repairs.

• Adjust valves and controls for safe and efficient system operations.

• Report accidents, suggest preventive measures, and provide first-line fire/emergency response.

• Ensure housekeeping, cleanliness, and safe working conditions.

• Collaborate proactively as part of the operations team.

Health, Safety & Environment:

• Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and report unsafe acts/conditions.

• Participate in emergency responses and maintain HSE awareness at all times.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.

• 1–3 years of operations experience, preferably in O&M of Power Plants.

• 3–5 years of control room operations experience in the power sector (preferred).

• Strong technical knowledge of plant operations.

• Good teamwork, reporting, and communication skills.
