Join Alcazar Energy Partners, a leader in renewable energy development, as an Environmental & Social Specialist based in Dubai. This on-site, full-time role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to sustainable infrastructure projects across emerging markets.

You will be responsible for implementing and improving Environmental & Social Management Systems (ESMS), leading environmental and social due diligence, supporting ISO certifications, managing stakeholder engagement, and developing impactful social investment initiatives. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external consultants, ensure alignment with international E&S standards (such as IFC Performance Standards), and monitor the performance of contractors during project development and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and implement the corporate ESMS across all projects.

• Review and oversee project-specific ESMS developed by contractors.

• Conduct E&S due diligence and screening for new investments.

• Coordinate with consultants for ESIAs and support ISO certifications.

• Monitor project performance through site visits, documentation, and KPIs.

• Develop regular internal and external E&S monitoring reports.

• Assist in the planning and execution of social investment projects aligned with sustainability strategies.

• Foster relationships with local communities, resolve grievances, and lead community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field; Master’s preferred.

• 5+ years of relevant experience.

• Strong understanding of IFC Performance Standards and multilateral development bank frameworks.

• Experience in renewable energy projects (preferably wind and solar) in emerging markets, especially MENA or Western Balkans.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; knowledge of Arabic, Turkish, or Serbian is a plus.

• Valid driving license is desirable.
