Overview:

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to take on the role of Enterprise Architect & Strategic Technology Advisor to the Group CTO at a well-established company in Dubai. This is a hands-on role, where you will help shape and execute the enterprise-wide technology vision, delivering architecture across a complex and evolving tech stack. In addition to your direct contributions, you will progressively build and lead a high-performing Enterprise Architecture (EA) function within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape & Implement Enterprise Architecture Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a scalable, business-aligned enterprise architecture strategy that integrates seamlessly with organizational goals.

• Collaborative Partnership with CTO: Serve as a strategic partner to the Group CTO, bridging gaps across Infrastructure, Applications, and Security to ensure alignment with the company’s tech vision.

• Lead Infrastructure Modernization: Oversee major infrastructure projects, including network modernization, data centers, backup systems, and telecoms, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

• Drive Enterprise Application Transformation: Lead the transformation of key enterprise applications such as Salesforce, SAP S/4 HANA, and other mission-critical platforms.

• Integrated Technology Strategy: Align architecture decisions with business objectives and stakeholder input, ensuring a cohesive and integrated technology strategy rather than working in silos.

• Security-Centric Architecture: Ensure security is embedded in all technology initiatives, with a strong grasp of Zero Trust architecture principles and secure architecture frameworks.

• Strategic Vision Execution: Translate the CTO’s strategic direction into actionable architectural decisions, establishing clear roadmaps and timelines.

• Mentorship & EA Capability Building: Guide and mentor future architects, gradually establishing and leading an internal Enterprise Architecture team.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 15+ years in technology leadership roles with proven architectural accountability.

• Hands-on Expertise: Demonstrated experience in working across infrastructure and applications, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly across different technology domains.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in SAP Retail and other enterprise applications, Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles.

• Agility: High learning agility, able to quickly adapt to new domains and technologies.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled at working with diverse stakeholders to influence and drive architectural solutions that align with business needs.

• Leadership Style: A low-ego, collaborative leader who is passionate about delivering results and creating meaningful impact.

• Ideal Candidate: Someone with prior experience as a Head of IT or CIO, now seeking to return to a hands-on, technical leadership role.
