Info Resume Edge – GCC is hiring a highly alert and detail-oriented Emergency Dispatcher to join their emergency response team in Dubai. This full-time on-site role is ideal for candidates who can remain calm under pressure, handle emergency calls efficiently, and dispatch the appropriate services while guiding callers through critical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promptly answer emergency (911) and non-emergency calls.

• Assess the nature, priority, and location of emergencies.

• Dispatch appropriate services: police, fire, and medical teams.

• Provide emergency instructions (e.g., CPR) over the phone.

• Operate radios, telephones, and dispatch software to relay information.

• Maintain detailed and accurate call logs and dispatch records.

• Monitor ongoing emergency responses and provide updated info to field units.

• Coordinate with various emergency agencies to ensure a swift response.

• Stay composed in high-stress environments and ensure adherence to privacy and operational protocols.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory); associate or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Communications, or related field preferred.

• Previous experience in emergency dispatch or public safety communications is a plus.

• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.

• Excellent multitasking and critical thinking abilities.

• Proficient with CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) and computer systems.

• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions swiftly.

• Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift-based operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Certifications:

• Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certification

• CPR and First Aid certification

• NCIC/TCIC certification (if applicable)

Work Environment:

• High-stress call center setup with rotating shifts.

• Requires sitting for extended periods and wearing a headset.
