Job Title: Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, commissioning, and supervising installations of LV & HV switchgear, VFDs, Soft-Starters, SCADA, and PLC panels at project sites. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience with electrical equipment and relay testing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

⚡ Testing & Commissioning:

• Conduct testing & commissioning of LV & HV switchgear and related components.

• Perform testing & commissioning of VFDs and Soft-Starters at project sites.

• Ensure all tests comply with IEC, ANSI, and other international standards.

🔌 Installation & Supervision:

• Supervise the installation of switchgear, VFDs, SCADA & PLC panels.

• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to technical and safety standards.

🛠 Technical Reporting & Quality Control:

• Prepare detailed technical reports on testing and commissioning activities.

• Provide feedback to clients on quality issues and improvement areas based on site observations.

• Ensure test equipment is maintained and calibrated for proper functionality.

Qualifications & Requirements

✔ Education & Experience:

• Diploma or Certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Hands-on experience in LV & HV switchgear testing, relay protection systems, and troubleshooting.

✔ Skills & Competencies:

• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

• Proficiency in electrical circuit troubleshooting and control/protection schemes.

• Ability to operate relay test kits and conduct relay testing procedures.

• Knowledge of VFDs, Soft-Starters, and SCADA/PLC systems is a plus.

• Strong email writing and technical documentation skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of project ownership.
