Chalhoub Group is seeking a visionary Director of Infrastructure & Networks to lead the evolution of our global infrastructure landscape. As a key member of the Corporate Technology team, you will architect and implement strategic, operational, and innovation-driven solutions for a multi-cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP, and ideally Oracle OCI), ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance.

This role requires a deep technical expert and business strategist who can deliver transformational change across enterprise networking, cloud integration, disaster recovery, and infrastructure services while ensuring operational excellence and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership & Vision:

  • Drive the development and execution of a modern infrastructure and network strategy aligned with business goals.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for infrastructure, guiding senior leadership on key decisions related to cloud, networking, security, and observability.

• Multi-Cloud Management & Enterprise Infrastructure:

  • Architect and manage a highly available and scalable hybrid cloud environment across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.

  • Lead cloud migrations, integrations, and optimization initiatives, focusing on performance, cost-efficiency, and service continuity.

  • Oversee orchestration of compute, storage, and networking across platforms.

• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:

  • Design and execute disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity in critical systems.

  • Implement high-availability, backup, and recovery plans to safeguard key services.

• Operational Excellence & Performance Engineering:

  • Establish KPIs, SLAs, and uptime objectives for infrastructure performance and monitoring.

  • Implement performance engineering best practices to enhance infrastructure responsiveness and resilience.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure processes for audits and compliance.

• Vendor & Budget Management:

  • Lead vendor selection, negotiations, and contract management to ensure high-quality and cost-effective technology solutions.

  • Oversee the procurement process and manage the infrastructure and network budget, ensuring financial targets are met.

  • Provide financial reporting and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• People Leadership & Team Development:

  • Inspire and mentor a high-performing infrastructure and networks team, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

  • Support professional development and succession planning.

• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Encourage curiosity and critical thinking, exploring new technologies to improve infrastructure capabilities.

  • Evaluate emerging trends, identifying opportunities to reduce complexity and enhance performance.

• Technical Expertise & Hands-On Leadership:

  • Expertise in BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN, firewalls, security zones, and Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols.

  • Experience in enterprise-class routers, switches (Cisco or comparable), and firewalls.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog and network management technologies.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Experience: 15+ years in infrastructure and network management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Skills: Expertise in cloud environments, networking, security, vendor management, and performance analytics.

• Certifications: ITIL certification (preferred), along with a solid background in cloud technologies, observability tools, and enterprise infrastructure management.

• Industry Experience: Retail industry experience is a plus, especially in environments requiring high availability and performance.
