Job Title: Diesel Generator Electrician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Generator Electrician to handle the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators and their electrical systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach while working independently on rental power projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation & Commissioning

✔ Install and wire diesel generators (40kVA – 1500kVA), including control panels and electrical components.
✔ Commission rental generator plants at customer sites, including cable laying and load panel connections.
✔ Install and operate LV/MV temporary power plants.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

✔ Diagnose and repair electrical faults in control panels, alternators, and generator systems.
✔ Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on generator electrical systems.
✔ Configure and troubleshoot synchronizing panels and load-sharing systems.

3. Technical Support & Compliance

✔ Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
✔ Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all site activities.
✔ Maintain accurate service records, including job cards and service reports.
✔ Provide technical support and customer guidance on electrical issues.

4. Emergency Support & Team Collaboration

✔ Respond to emergency breakdown calls as required.
✔ Work closely with the mechanical team to ensure complete system functionality.

Candidate Requirements

✅ Experience: 3-5 years as an electrician in the power generation industry (rental power experience preferred).
✅ Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in generator control systems (DEIF, Deep Sea, ComAp, Woodward, etc.).
✅ Equipment Expertise: Experience with synchronization panels, ATS systems, and load management.
✅ Diagram Interpretation: Ability to read electrical diagrams & technical manuals.
✅ License: Valid UAE driving license is a must.
✅ Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities.
✅ Work Flexibility: Willingness to travel across UAE/Oman and work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

🎓 Education: Diploma or Certification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
⚡ Systems Knowledge: Expertise in both LV and MV systems.
🌱 Hybrid Power Solutions: Experience with renewable energy integration is a plus.
🔧 Mechanical Understanding: Basic knowledge of diesel engine systems.
