Job Title: Design Estimation Engineer

To enhance our team, we are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer with a strong technical background in home automation and low current systems for immediate joining.

Position Overview:

The Design Estimation Engineer will play a key role in designing, estimating, and delivering home automation and LCS projects for residential and commercial clients. This role requires preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing technical specifications, and ensuring project completion within budget and timeline while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & Project Analysis

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for home automation and LCS systems, including security systems, AV solutions, networking, and lighting control.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and scope of work to create precise estimates.

Project Coordination & Documentation

  • Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical submittals.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project scope and existing conditions.
  • Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and clients to evaluate requirements.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to determine material costs and availability.
  • Assist in tendering, bid preparation, and proposal submissions.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to cost overruns and material shortages.
  • Provide technical support to project teams.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in estimation and cost management for home automation, LCS, or related industries.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of home automation, security systems, AV solutions, lighting control, and networking.
  • Experience with estimation software and tools.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, industry standards, and regulations.

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in Estimation, Project Management, or Home Automation (e.g., CEA, PMP, etc.).
✨ Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
✨ Knowledge of smart home platforms (Crestron, Control4, KNX).
