Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to manage and maintain the mechanical and electrical infrastructure within AWS data centers. This hands-on role will involve troubleshooting and operating critical equipment to ensure the data center’s availability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained and encourage a strong safety culture.

• Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment including UPS systems, circuit breakers, ATS, diesel generators, HVAC, and transformers.

• Troubleshoot facility-level events and perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.

• Perform daily operational checks and log equipment data (voltages, temperatures, currents).

• Supervise contractors for maintenance and service tasks.

• Work rotational shifts and respond to emergency on-call rotation.

• Support continuous innovation to reduce operational costs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Basic: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or similar technical focus.

• Preferred: 2+ years of data center engineering experience, knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (HVAC, UPS, etc.).

Work Schedule:

• Rotational shifts of 12 hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays).

• Respond to emergency calls during off-duty hours.
