Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our dynamic team in Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing data architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and alignment with business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.

• Design and implement Big Data Platforms, ensuring adherence to data architecture standards and best practices.

• Develop and manage Data Estate Modernization strategies, incorporating industry solutions like CDP/CDW, CDP/Snowflake, CDP/MIDP.

• Hands-on experience with Big Data Architect (Cloudera).

• Define high-level and low-level architecture designs to enhance data processing capabilities.

• Act as a key facilitator and coordinator between vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders.

• Manage Hadoop Cluster environments (CDP, CML, NIFI) and optimize Cloudera Big Data platform performance.

• Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to drive innovation in data engineering.

• Ensure scalability, security, and performance across all data architecture solutions.

• Contribute to Data Estate Modernization RFx, vendor evaluation, and selection processes.

Requirements & Skills:

• Strong expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), using tools like ER/Studio, ERWin, or PowerDesigner.

• Proficiency in database management with SQL and systems like Oracle, SQL Server, and Cloudera.

• Hands-on experience in data integration, including ETL processes, data mapping, and transformation.

• Deep understanding of data governance, covering data quality, security, and privacy.

• Expertise in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based data storage & computing.

• Strong business acumen, with the ability to align data solutions with business needs.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working closely with stakeholders, analysts, and engineers.

• Relevant certifications (Informatica, TOGAF, DAMA as a Data Practitioner preferred).
