The Data & AI Lead – Azure at Surge Group will oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of Azure-based data and AI solutions. The role requires expertise in Azure technologies, AI-driven automation, cloud architecture, and team management. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading AI and data initiatives and optimizing large-scale data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and deployment of Azure-based Data & AI solutions.

• Architect Azure AI, ML, and big data solutions to drive actionable business insights and automation.

• Define best practices for data management, governance, and security within Azure.

• Manage technical teams, providing mentorship and leadership.

• Oversee resource allocation and project execution, ensuring timely delivery.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using Azure DataBricks, Synapse, and Data Factory.

• Implement big data processing and machine learning solutions with Azure ML and Cognitive Services.

• Optimize data warehousing and lakehouse architectures for performance and cost efficiency.

• Work with Power Automate and AI Builder to automate business processes (Nice to have).

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Expertise in Azure Data & AI solutions (Azure DataBricks, Azure ML, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Cognitive Services).

• Cloud Data Architecture & Engineering.

• Experience with ETL, Data Pipelines, and Data Warehousing.

• Programming Languages: Python, SQL, Scala.

• Big Data Processing: Spark, Delta Lake.

• Performance Optimization & Security in Azure Cloud.

• Technical Project Leadership & Team Management.

• Experience with Power Automate & AI Builder (Nice to have).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 8 years of total experience, with at least 4+ years specializing in Azure Data & AI solutions.

  • Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering complex Azure Data/AI projects.

  • Strong analytical skills to solve business problems with AI-driven solutions.

  • Experience in resource planning, project management, and team leadership.

• Language Requirement: Fluent in Arabic and English.
