Info Resume Edge – GCC is hiring a seasoned Dairy Manager to oversee and manage day-to-day operations of a dairy farm. This position requires extensive expertise in livestock management, milk production, and agricultural operations to ensure herd health, productivity, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Herd Management

• Monitor cow health, breeding cycles, feeding, and milking routines.

• Administer and oversee herd health programs including vaccinations and vet visits.

• Maintain detailed records on milk output, reproductive cycles, and livestock wellness.

Milk Production

• Supervise milking processes ensuring hygiene and quality control standards are met.

• Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of milking machinery and storage systems.

• Adhere to food safety and dairy production regulations.

Staff Supervision

• Manage, schedule, and train dairy staff including milkers and feeders.

• Evaluate performance and promote workplace safety and animal handling standards.

Farm Operations

• Oversee feeding schedules, pasture rotations, and livestock housing.

• Manage supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and budget tracking.

• Ensure upkeep of farm infrastructure.

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare regular reports on herd performance, farm productivity, and operational costs.

• Maintain compliance with animal welfare, environmental, and health & safety standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Dairy Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 35 years of experience in dairy or livestock farm management.

• Deep knowledge of dairy cattle breeds, reproduction cycles, feeding, and disease control.

• Excellent organizational, leadership, and critical-thinking skills.

• Willingness to work early shifts, weekends, and in rural farm settings.

• Familiarity with dairy farm software systems is a plus.
