Health7Careers is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their team in Dubai. This on-site, full-time role involves providing high-quality mental health services to a diverse population, including expatriates and local Emiratis. You will diagnose, treat, and manage mental health disorders while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans. The role requires strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review patients’ medical histories and gather information from family members and psychologists

• Evaluate patients’ emotional, behavioral, and mental states through observation and analysis

• Diagnose mental disorders and prescribe the best treatment options

• Develop personalized therapy plans and prescribe medications

• Analyze medical tests and monitor patient progress

• Coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is needed

• Advise patients on coping mechanisms for mental illnesses and emotional distress

• Support patients’ families and keep them informed about their loved one’s condition

• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with new treatments and advancements in mental healthcare

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Psychiatrist

• In-depth knowledge of psychotherapeutic methods

• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex medical terms to non-medical audiences

• Strong observational skills to assess patients’ behavior and identify symptoms

• Compassionate and calm demeanor, with the ability to work with patients experiencing severe mental disorders

• Specialization degree and completion of a Psychiatry Residency Program

• MD or Bachelor’s degree in Medicine
