A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon to join their team. This role requires expertise in diagnosing and surgically treating congenital and acquired heart conditions in children, while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The consultant will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, lead complex procedures, and contribute to medical education and research.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced pediatric cardiac surgeries, including congenital defect repairs and valve procedures.

• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and manage post-operative care.

• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to deliver individualized care.

• Lead ward rounds and multidisciplinary discussions.

• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and accurate medical documentation.

• Participate in on-call duties, including weekends and holidays.

• Mentor junior doctors and engage in clinical teaching.

• Contribute to research and continuous medical education (CME) programs.

• Promote a culture of patient-centered care, safety, and quality improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

• Completed residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery.

• Minimum 5 years post-fellowship experience in pediatric cardiac procedures.

• Valid HAAD/DOH license or eligibility to practice in the UAE.

• Tier 1 board certification preferred.

• Arabic-speaking or Western-trained candidates highly desirable.

• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
