Khales Engineering Consultancy is seeking a visionary Consultant Architect (Design Lead) to lead its Design Department in Dubai. The role involves overseeing architectural excellence across consultancy and contracting projects, ensuring compliance with UAE standards, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior architects, and managing client and regulatory engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architectural design process from concept to execution.

• Develop innovative, sustainable, and functional design solutions aligned with client briefs and UAE regulations.

• Ensure compliance with local authority standards (Dubai Municipality, SEWA, DEWA) and G+4 classification requirements.

• Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior, and project management teams for seamless integration.

• Oversee design deliverables across Sharjah, Dubai, Fujairah, and other Emirates.

• Conduct regular design reviews and quality assurance checks.

• Liaise with regulatory authorities for NOCs, permits, and approvals.

• Mentor junior architects and promote professional growth.

• Represent the firm in client meetings, presentations, and regulatory discussions.

• Review and approve architectural drawings, technical submissions, and tender documentation.

• Provide oversight on sustainability, architectural, and MEP integration across projects.

Requirements / Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred) from a recognized university.

• Minimum 7+ years of architectural design experience, with at least 3 years in UAE consultancy.

• Proven track record in consultancy or design leadership for high-rise, residential, and commercial projects.

• Registration or eligibility as Consultant Engineer – Architect with UAE Society of Engineers and Dubai Municipality.

• Valid or eligible for Dubai Municipality G+4 classification.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and BIM workflows.

• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.

• In-depth knowledge of UAE building regulations, permitting, and green building standards.
