🎯 Job Purpose:

We are currently seeking a highly capable Company Accountant to join our client’s regional consultancy team in Dubai. This role will be responsible for full-spectrum financial operations, including financial reporting, VAT compliance, transactional accounting, reconciliations, and cashflow management. The position reports directly to the Operations Officer and plays a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial data and compliance with UAE regulations.

🧾 Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage all aspects of financial accounting and regulatory compliance.

• Prepare accurate and timely quarterly VAT returns.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely reconciliations.

• Maintain the general ledger and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.

• Monitor collections, manage working capital, and generate cashflow forecasts.

• Produce and analyze Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports.

• Oversee internal accounting systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with audit standards.

• Coordinate with external auditors and support internal audit processes.

• Prepare MIS reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams for group-level reporting.

• Ensure ERP and Excel-based financial analysis tools are effectively used for data presentation and decision support.

📚 Requirements & Qualifications:

• Professional accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CPA (mandatory).

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a financial/accounting role within a professional services environment.

• Proven expertise in VAT, regulatory reporting, and audit compliance.

• In-depth understanding of cashflow, working capital, and management reporting (MIS).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems is essential.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to liaise confidently with auditors, management, and regulatory bodies.

• Ability to manage multiple financial functions and deliver in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
