Hilton is hiring a Commis 2 to join the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah team. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and looking to contribute to the success of a world-class hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping.

• Follow recipes and preparation guidelines to ensure food quality and consistency.

• Participate in cooking basic dishes under the supervision of Senior Chefs.

• Maintain an organized, clean workspace and ensure all kitchen tools are in proper working condition.

• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.

• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring accuracy.

• Help maintain inventory levels for your section.

• Assist in minimizing food waste through proper portion control and stock rotation.

• Participate in the cleaning and upkeep of kitchen equipment and tools.

• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.

• Attend training sessions and kitchen meetings to improve culinary skills.

Job Requirements:

• Basic understanding of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.

• Previous experience in a kitchen, ideally in a similar role.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with kitchen staff and other departments.

• Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure during busy service periods.

• Attention to detail in ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.

• Passion for learning and improving culinary skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a dynamic team.
