The Commis 2 position at Ajman Saray focuses on preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation requirements, while ensuring hygiene, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced luxury resort environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, and storing food.

Prepare and cook hot and cold foods according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.

Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.

Test foods to ensure proper cooking and monitor quality during preparation.

Set up and break down workstations; maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, tools, and equipment.

Follow company safety and security procedures; report accidents, maintenance needs, and unsafe conditions.

Maintain professional appearance and adhere to Marriott’s uniform and grooming standards.

Support team collaboration, respond appropriately to co-worker concerns, and maintain confidentiality.

Lift and handle objects up to 25 pounds; perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and standing for long periods.

Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of related culinary or food preparation experience.

No prior supervisory experience required.

Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
