Aldar Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Assistant (UAE National) to join Mubarak Bin Mohammed Cycle 2 & 3 Charter School in Abu Dhabi. This American curriculum school is known for its innovative and sustainable learning environment that emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and creativity. As a Classroom Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

General Duties:

• Support individual and groups of students both inside and outside the classroom.

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of individual education programs (IEPs).

• Provide assistance to pupils with behavioral, emotional, and learning difficulties.

• Prepare classroom displays and help maintain student records.

• Support classroom teachers with administrative tasks such as photocopying.

• Ensure a safe and healthy environment, adhering to school policies and procedures.

• Set a professional example through punctuality, dress, and behavior.

• Attend staff meetings and collaborate with external professionals (e.g., therapists) when necessary.

• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the principal.

Specific Academic Support:

• Provide group or one-on-one academic instruction as directed by the teacher.

• Monitor, check, and reinforce student work and progress.

• Encourage student engagement, praise achievements, and maintain discipline aligned with school policies.

• Supervise students in classrooms and around the school.

• Assist with material organization and daily routines.

• Participate in the implementation of the behavior policy to support student self-esteem.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Minimum Qualification: Secondary school certificate.

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a school environment.

• Strong English language skills (or the language used in the school curriculum).

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive school environment.
