WSP in the Middle East is seeking a qualified Civil Inspector to join its team for a 6-month Roads & Infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. As one of the world’s leading engineering professional services firms, WSP offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile civil projects, including roads, utilities, drainage, and grading works. This role is critical in ensuring that construction activities align with approved plans, project specifications, and safety regulations. This is a hybrid, full-time role, and while it is a temporary assignment, there may be opportunities for reassignment, although continuity is not guaranteed.

Responsibilities:

• Site Inspection & Supervision: Monitor construction work on roads, utilities, and infrastructure; perform inspections on grading, drainage, and paving.

• Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure compliance with ADM standards and local authority regulations; identify non-conformities and support corrective actions.

• Technical Validation: Review and approve contractors’ method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and material submittals.

• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate inspection records including daily logs and photo documentation; support in progress reporting and attending coordination meetings.

• Coordination & Communication: Work closely with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to address on-site challenges promptly.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in civil inspection, particularly in road and infrastructure projects

• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality standards and construction supervision in the UAE

• Strong knowledge of local construction codes, HSE practices, and quality control procedures

• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering applications

• Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills
