Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for its UAE operations. The CISO will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive information security strategy, ensuring IT governance and security risk management systems are in line with international standards and UAE regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of IT Security Risk Management functions for Binance UAE.

• Develop and enhance security frameworks, including policies, standards, and processes.

• Manage security governance practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Oversee cyber threat management and conduct penetration tests as required by regulations.

• Lead the management of third-party integration risks to ensure alignment with security standards.

• Supervise local security teams and contribute to the global security department’s improvement.

• Handle security incident management, including reporting to senior management.

• Ensure Binance’s products adhere to resilience best practices and remain top-tier in security.

• Work with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all security and governance matters.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

• Bilingual in English/Arabic for effective coordination with global partners.

• Experience in a senior role within a regulated financial institution.

• 10+ years of experience in cyber security within a global financial context.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in delivering international data privacy and information security frameworks (NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS).

• Proven leadership in managing cyber security operations with hands-on implementation.

• Demonstrable track record in security solutions and regulatory compliance.

• Experience in engaging with regulatory bodies and implementing their recommendations.

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, and others are a plus.
