Heidelberg Materials Trading, the international trading arm of Heidelberg Materials Group, manages overseas dry-bulk product exports and imports. The Dubai office is seeking a skilled Chartering Manager to oversee freight calculations, charter negotiations, cargo bookings, and voyage execution in line with charterparty terms. The role involves close collaboration with operations, trade, and shipping teams to ensure smooth execution, accurate documentation, and market competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate competitive freight rates for internal cargo requests from the trade department.

• Conclude voyage charter fixtures for internal cargoes.

• Manage a cargo portfolio for assigned geographical areas.

• Coordinate with operations to ensure voyages are executed per charterparty terms.

• Support operations in finalizing demurrage/dispatch agreements and freight settlements.

• Maintain accurate shipping software records with full compliance.

• Review sales and purchase contracts, liaising with trade operations and traders.

• Prepare shipping market reports and conduct data analysis.

• Provide operational support to trading departments across multiple countries.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–5 years’ experience in chartering, shipping, and dry bulk logistics.

• Strong knowledge of voyage charterparties, shipping law, marine insurance, and international environmental regulations.

• Established network in the international dry bulk shipping industry.

• Operational experience with dry bulk shipments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Business Administration, Shipping, or related field.

• Excellent written and spoken English (TOEFL IBT 100+ or equivalent).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Strong analytical and reporting abilities.

• Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours.

• Commitment to a long-term career in a global multinational environment.
