Chartering Manager – Maritime & Shipping (Full-Time, Dubai)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute chartering strategies to maximize profitability and market share.

• Negotiate charter party agreements and contracts with shipowners, brokers, and clients.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent service delivery.

• Analyze market trends, freight rates, and industry developments to identify business opportunities.

• Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure efficient shipping and cargo handling.

• Prepare reports on chartering activities, financial performance, and market insights for senior management.

• Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chartering within the shipping or maritime industry.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships in a competitive market.

• Analytical mindset with a deep understanding of freight markets and chartering trends.

• Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools.

• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
