Job Title: Buying Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Buying Manager – Furniture & Electronics to join our team in Dubai, UAE. This critical role focuses on strategic procurement, supplier relationship management, and trend-driven buying to ensure a competitive and appealing product offering for our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in retail buying within the furniture and electronics categories, with strong skills in market analysis, negotiation, inventory planning, and vendor management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify current and emerging trends in furniture and electronics

  • Negotiate favorable contracts and pricing with local and international suppliers

  • Manage inventory to ensure stock levels are optimized while minimizing overstock

  • Collaborate with marketing to align buying decisions with promotional and seasonal campaigns

  • Analyze sales data to forecast product demand and adjust procurement strategies accordingly

  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure quality and reliable supply

  • Monitor competitor activity and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge

  • Present purchasing strategies and performance reports to senior management

  • Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and external regulatory standards

  • Mentor and support junior buying staff to improve team capability and performance

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably within furniture and electronics retail

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to make data-driven decisions

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proficient in inventory management systems, Excel, and data analysis tools

  • Up-to-date knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior in relevant sectors

  • Team player with leadership capabilities

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage

  • Willing to travel for trade shows, supplier meetings, and sourcing trips
