Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead client acquisition and revenue growth initiatives within the insurance brokerage sector. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge and a strong sales background, especially in life, health, general, or specialty insurance products.

The BDM will play a crucial role in expanding our client base, nurturing long-term relationships, and positioning our brokerage services to meet the evolving needs of corporate, SME, and individual clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a business development strategy aligned with organizational goals

  • Identify and engage prospective clients across B2B and B2C segments

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and business partners

  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, digital platforms, and events

  • Promote tailored insurance solutions based on client needs and market trends

  • Collaborate with underwriting and client servicing teams to close high-quality deals

  • Track market activity, competitor strategies, and client feedback to improve sales execution

  • Maintain accurate CRM data and prepare regular performance and pipeline reports

  • Represent the company at industry seminars, expos, and client meetings

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and internal procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in the insurance industry (brokerage experience preferred)

  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics

  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Experience working in both B2B and B2C environments is an added advantage

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Strategic, analytical, and client-focused mindset

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting professional relationships

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and under pressure

  • Proficiency in CRM tools and the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Adaptable and competitive with a focus on continuous improvement
