Waggish, a fast-growing start-up, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage and organize financial records. This part-time hybrid role is vital for maintaining accurate accounting, tracking expenses, reconciling transactions, and providing clarity on company finances. The ideal candidate will review past financial data, implement an efficient bookkeeping system, and ensure consistent weekly updates to support the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, organize, and categorize past financial statements and transactions.

• Set up or improve bookkeeping and recordkeeping systems.

• Maintain accurate financial records with weekly updates (3–5 hours per week).

• Record income and expenses, reconcile bank and credit card statements.

• Track accounts receivable and payable.

• Generate simple financial reports on cash flow, expenses, and profitability.

• Work with management to ensure compliance with accounting best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or in a related finance role.

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Google Sheets/Excel).

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills to explain financial information clearly.

Workload & Commitment:

• Estimated 3–5 hours per week with flexibility.

• Initial project involves reviewing and organizing past statements.

• Ongoing role focuses on consistent updates and reconciliations.
