Bloomberg is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Economist specializing in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Russia to join its prestigious Bloomberg Economics team in Dubai (or London). This is a full-time, on-site position within the Research business area.

With a global team of nearly 60 economists and 200 economics/government reporters, Bloomberg Economics delivers comprehensive macroeconomic research and real-time insights to its Terminal subscribers. The team focuses on producing detailed forecasts, thematic research, previews of key data releases, and instant analysis of economic and policy events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely, insightful economic analysis and forecasts focused on Russia and CEE.

• Provide rapid interpretation of macroeconomic data releases and central bank policy changes.

• Collaborate closely with the global Bloomberg Economics team, contributing content and participating in joint research initiatives.

• Engage with media and clients through conferences, television, and print interviews depending on experience.

• Contribute to the Bloomberg Terminal content, enhancing client understanding of financial markets, capital flows, and policy developments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in economic analysis, particularly within CEE and Russia.

• Strong knowledge of regional macroeconomic data, monetary policy, and structural issues.

• A graduate degree in Economics or equivalent professional experience.

• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of a local language is a plus.

• Strong analytical writing skills, capable of producing content ranging from fast-paced analysis to in-depth thematic research.

• Preferred: Econometrics proficiency and experience in policymaking or policy-related institutions.
