Position Overview:
DAMANA is seeking a strategic and experienced AVP/VP – International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) to lead and grow its international health insurance portfolio. This senior role involves underwriting strategy, reinsurance management, operational optimization, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute underwriting strategies for profitability and sustainable growth in the IPMI portfolio.

• Ensure full compliance with global and regional insurance regulations and risk practices.

• Manage and negotiate reinsurance treaties with global reinsurers.

• Oversee policy administration, claims handling, and customer service delivery.

• Drive digital transformation initiatives in collaboration with IT teams.

• Enhance operational processes in premium collection, policy issuance, and servicing.

• Design and implement effective distribution strategies, including broker and corporate client partnerships.

• Identify emerging markets and new opportunities in international health insurance.

• Strengthen relationships with key brokers to expand market share.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in IPMI, particularly in distribution and health insurance.

• Proven expertise in technical underwriting, claims analytics, and risk assessment.

• Experience negotiating and managing reinsurance agreements.

• Strong background in operational efficiency and digital transformation in insurance.

• In-depth knowledge of global IPMI markets, regulations, and competitive dynamics.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

• MBA preferred, but not mandatory.
