Role Overview
PwC Middle East is seeking an External Audit Associate (Banking) to join its Assurance team in Dubai. The role involves working closely with managers and above, supporting clients in building trust, solving challenges, and delivering high-quality audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Review accounting records, inventory, plant, and other assets.

• Test internal controls and processes.

• Conduct client interviews and gather audit evidence.

• Build strong client relationships, ensuring timely communication on risks and progress.

• Take ownership of engagement files and ensure timely completion.

• Supervise, train, and provide feedback to junior associates.

• Ensure compliance with risk, quality, and independence standards.

• Support business development opportunities and client relationship management.

• Participate in digital initiatives and upskilling programs.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional qualification (ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA) completed or in progress.

• Prior audit experience (preferably in a Big 4 firm).

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Project management skills and ability to coach junior staff.

• Knowledge of audit technologies and data analytics tools is an advantage.

• Arabic and English bilingual proficiency is a plus.
