Americana Restaurants, home to leading F&B brands like KFC, Pizza Hut, Hardee’s, and Krispy Kreme, is hiring an Assistant MEP Design Manager to lead MEP design efforts across new store openings and remodel projects. This full-time, on-site role involves creating MEP design standards, optimizing costs, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation in areas such as automation and energy efficiency. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in MEP design, especially in F&B or retail environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update MEP design guidelines and BOQs for all brands.

• Standardize templates for MEP costs and vendor negotiations.

• Lead design and execution for new store projects and major remodels.

• Provide technical solutions and address design challenges.

• Monitor energy usage and suggest improvements for efficiency.

• Leverage AI and technology to automate MEP design processes.

• Ensure MEP compliance with local and international codes.

• Conduct annual audits and submit reports to senior management.

• Organize training programs, circulars, and workshops for team upskilling.

• Mentor internal teams and align external vendors with standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.

• Minimum 8+ years of MEP design experience, preferably in QSR, F&B, or retail.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and Microsoft Office tools.

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, kitchen ventilation, and automation.

• Strong grasp of local building codes, MEP specifications, and sustainability standards.

• Capable of reviewing drawings, BOQs, tender documents, and vendor quotations.

• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work both independently and in teams.
