Role Description:
Salama Insurance is hiring an Assistant Manager – Reinsurance Treaty to join its Reinsurance team. This role involves overseeing technical accounting and operational activities related to treaty reinsurance, including closings, reporting, settlements, and regulatory submissions. The position requires strong coordination with underwriting, operations, and finance teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective reinsurance administration.
Key Responsibilities:

Organize and manage preparation of treaty renewal information, data for rating agencies, and other reinsurance reports.

Handle regulatory matters, including permissions for facultative placements and treaty documentation requirements.

Analyze treaty renewal data to propose enhancements in reinsurance arrangements.

Manage and follow up on proportional and non-proportional treaty claims until closure.

Administer reinsurance documentation, bordereaux submissions, and audit support.

Ensure timely month-end closings in coordination with underwriting and operations.

Generate RI slips and process treaty entries.

Prepare monthly/quarterly reports, including premium/claims summaries and Gross-to-Net analyses.

Process Quarterly Treaty SOAs (Technical Accounts) and XOL claims reporting.

Coordinate with Finance to reconcile treaty balances and liaise with treaty brokers.

Prepare special acceptance requests and manage deviations in treaty conditions.

Support system development, provide RI-related inputs, and participate in testing.

Arrange KYC for new reinsurers/RI brokers in coordination with Legal/Compliance.

Mentor and train junior reinsurance or underwriting staff as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting or related field).

Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance/reinsurance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and data analysis).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ethical, detail-oriented, and able to manage confidential information.

Ability to collaborate effectively with reinsurers, brokers, and internal teams.
