Assistant Manager – Loan/Lending Operations (UAE Nationals Preferred)

Standard Chartered Bank is seeking an Assistant Manager – Loan/Lending Operations to manage operational activities for Mortgage, Auto, Personal, and Wealth Management lending products. This role ensures execution controls, governance, and supervision while managing operational risks. The position requires liaising with government authorities, handling securing documentation, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with internal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Mortgage Liaison: Coordinate with Government Registration Offices, DLD (Dubai Land Department), and banks for document collection.
Securing Documentation: Handle and manage all loan-related documents in compliance with regulations.
Client Communication: Prepare and issue letters to customers related to loans and lending processes.
Cheque Banking: Process fees, valuation charges, and PDCs (post-dated cheques).
Loan Maintenance & Monitoring: Track loans, generate reports, and monitor complaints.
Custodianship Activities: Maintain and update Mortgage Loan documentation in eSDS (Securing Documentation System).
MIS & Compliance: Prepare securing documentation trackers and title deed MIS.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Strong knowledge of Retail Banking products and branch operations.
Risk & Compliance: Understanding of Operational Risk Framework in banking.
Decision Making: Ability to apply sound judgment and critical thinking in operational decisions.
Initiative: Capable of independently driving initiatives with minimal supervision.
