Assistant Manager (Festivals & Events – National Talent) – Burjline Builders

Burjline Builders is seeking an Assistant Manager (Festivals & Events – National Talent) to support the planning and execution of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). This full-time, on-site role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing budgets, and enhancing event experiences while ensuring alignment with DFRE and DET objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and capable of overseeing complex event operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and managing DSF event plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and adherence to project timelines.

  • Support the Festival Strategy and Planning team in financial management, budget tracking, and performance metrics.

  • Manage on-ground event/project delivery, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Classify DSF events by scope, attendance, audience profile, duration, location, budget, and resources.

  • Contribute to creating project one-pagers, defining objectives, budgets, content elements, and industry benchmarks.

  • Collaborate with procurement on RFPs/RFIs, supplier selection, contracts, and post-award agency relationships.

  • Serve as primary contact for DSF stakeholders, resolving issues and maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Suggest and integrate creative content elements and activations to enhance event engagement.

  • Develop and manage risk mitigation and contingency plans, addressing delays, budget overruns, or unforeseen challenges.

  • Coordinate with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams to ensure robust safety protocols.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of contracts, budgets, and communications for audits and future reference.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event management, festivals, or large-scale corporate events.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and complex projects effectively.

  • Creative mindset with knowledge of global event management best practices.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
