Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking an Assistant Head (Pastoral) to foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes students’ well-being, personal development, and positive behavior. The role involves leading pastoral care, overseeing student welfare, and enhancing school culture, with responsibilities in student attendance, safeguarding, and mental health promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and enhance the school’s pastoral care programs

• Promote positive behavior management and safeguarding practices

• Oversee student attendance, punctuality, and welfare

• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents

• Mentor staff to ensure high standards of pastoral care

• Implement initiatives promoting mental health, inclusion, and character development

• Cover classes during staff absences

• Support pastoral-related duties for the Executive Leadership Team

• Organize school events, assemblies, and house activities

• Oversee school uniform expectations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in pastoral care within a school setting

• In-depth understanding of safeguarding and behavioral management strategies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Passion for creating a nurturing, inclusive school environment

• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd) and at least two years of leadership experience

• Experience with UK education standards and frameworks

• Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multicultural environment
