Assistant Facility Manager – Soft Services

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Facility Manager to oversee and support daily operations of soft services, particularly cleaning and maintenance, ensuring high service standards for clients. You will assist the Account Manager, supervise cleaning teams, manage resources, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and organizing daily cleaning schedules for optimal staff coverage

  • Supervise, train, and provide feedback to cleaning staff to maintain high-quality service

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure cleanliness standards and implement improvements

  • Ensure Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) and Service Requests (SR) are completed on time

  • Collaborate on cleaning procedures and compliance with company policies and industry regulations

  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain adequate stock

  • Manage cleaning budgets and optimize expenses without compromising quality

  • Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly

  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, staff attendance, and incident reports

  • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring health and safety regulations are followed

  • Prepare and participate in monthly staff meetings and daily/weekly briefings with managers and supervisors

  • Stay updated on industry trends, cleaning technologies, and best practices


Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in facilities management in a managerial role

  • At least 2 years’ experience managing mall facilities preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Facilities Management

  • BICSc (British Institute of Cleaning Science) training certificate required

  • Strong knowledge of heavy-duty cleaning equipment and chemicals

  • Proven experience in project management and leading continuous improvement initiatives

  • Excellent commercial and contract awareness

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
