GEMS Education is seeking a dedicated Arabic Speaking Teaching Assistant to join their team in Dubai starting August 2025. This full-time, on-site role involves supporting teachers by assisting with classroom activities, supervising students, and contributing to a positive learning environment. The position demands strong communication skills in both Arabic and English, a commitment to student welfare, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with reading and other classroom activities.

• Run small group sessions both inside and outside the classroom as directed.

• Prepare, tidy, and mount classroom displays.

• Support teachers by photocopying and preparing worksheets.

• Supervise classes during emergencies or as requested by management.

• Manage stock cupboards and distribute supplies.

• Assist students with personal needs such as toileting and cleaning when necessary.

• Develop familiarity with literacy, numeracy, and phonetics curriculum aspects.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.

• Participate in staff meetings and committees as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent general education, especially in Arabic, English, and Maths.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and relate well to children and colleagues.

• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working with children is preferred.

• Basic ICT skills are desirable.

• UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check required for appointment.
