SmartChoice International UAE is seeking an Algosec Administrator on a contract basis to manage and optimize firewall policies, ensure compliance, and maintain secure network configurations. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in firewall administration and AlgoSec tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Run regular firewall policy audits using AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer, identifying outdated rules, misconfigurations, and risky access.

• Generate and interpret compliance reports (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001) to ensure alignment with regulatory and internal security standards.

• Lead firewall rule clean-up and optimization activities, balancing security with operational uptime.

• Review and validate firewall rule changes in collaboration with the change management team using FireFlow workflows.

• Leverage AlgoSec BusinessFlow to accurately map business applications to firewall rules, ensuring traceability and precise policy enforcement.

• Document findings, suggest improvements, and present remediation plans to security governance stakeholders.

• Maintain firewall configurations across Check Point and other multi-vendor platforms, ensuring consistency and security.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience administering and optimizing firewall policies using AlgoSec.

• Strong understanding of firewall management, rule creation, and policy lifecycle.

• Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001.

• Hands-on experience with Check Point firewalls.

• Strong communication and documentation skills, able to translate technical findings for both technical and business audiences.
