Job Title: Air Freight Manager

Company Overview:

Gulf Express Logistics has been a trusted freight forwarder in Dubai since 2012. We are now expanding our operations by launching a dedicated Air Freight Department and seeking an experienced and talented Air Freight Manager to lead this new division.

Role Overview:

The Air Freight Manager will be responsible for establishing, managing, and optimizing air freight operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, and a strategic mindset to ensure efficient and cost-effective air freight services.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Department Setup & Strategy

• Establish and launch the air freight division from scratch.
• Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations and improve transit times.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.

✅ Operations & Coordination

• Oversee daily air freight operations, ensuring smooth transportation and delivery of goods.
• Collaborate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs officials to optimize logistics.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance efficiency and service quality.

✅ Budget & Cost Management

• Manage and optimize the air freight budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and service providers for competitive pricing.

✅ Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work closely with other departments to align air freight operations with overall business goals.

✅ Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure accurate documentation for international air freight shipments.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

📌 Experience & Expertise:

• 4+ years of experience in air freight management or a similar logistics role.
• Strong understanding of air freight processes, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tracking systems.
