Strand Commodities is seeking a seasoned commodity trader with deep expertise in Raw Cashew Nuts (RCN), Cocoa, or Soybeans to join their fast-paced Dubai-based operation. The ideal candidate will have a global sourcing network, strong market insight, and a proven ability to close profitable trades while managing risk and logistics efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Sourcing & Procurement

• Source commodities from Africa, South America, and Asia

• Build supplier relationships: farmers, cooperatives, exporters

• Monitor crop conditions, quality specs, and inspection documentation

🔹 Sales & Market Development

• Develop and maintain buyer relationships

• Close domestic and international sales contracts

• Grow B2B networks across trading houses and processors

🔹 Market Strategy & Analysis

• Track global pricing, forex fluctuations, and demand-supply trends

• Share actionable insights with management

🔹 Logistics & Trade Execution

• Handle shipment logistics and export documentation

• Ensure delivery timelines and compliance with import/export laws

🔹 Financial & Risk Management

• Oversee trade margins, credit exposure, and currency risks

• Work with finance team on LCs, payments, and cost control

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in International Business, Agriculture, Economics, or similar

• 3–5+ years experience trading RCN, Cocoa, or Soybeans

• Strong global buyer/supplier network

• Excellent understanding of commodity specs and international trade docs

• Fluent in English (French is a plus)

• Willingness to travel internationally
