Sofitel Dubai The Palm, a prestigious 5-star beachfront resort located on the East Crescent of Palm Jumeirah, is seeking a skilled A/V Shift Leader to join its team. Known for its blend of tropical serenity and French elegance, the resort offers a luxurious retreat with 360 contemporary guest rooms and suites, 182 serviced apartments, ultra-luxury villas, and a host of premium dining and wellness facilities.

As the A/V Shift Leader, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all audio-visual, lighting, and related systems across the resort. Your role will ensure the seamless delivery of AV services for events and day-to-day resort operations, while prioritizing safety, guest satisfaction, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all audio-visual work complies with health and safety protocols.

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest AV-related requests.

• Operate, maintain, and repair AV, lighting, and related technical equipment.

• Execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.

• Maintain logs, reports, equipment catalogues, and technical documentation.

• Assist the AV Supervisor in team coordination and task delegation.

• Evaluate equipment usage, optimize energy efficiency, and troubleshoot malfunctions.

• Participate in emergency response and safety initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Secondary School + Technical College education; a Diploma or Degree in AV Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience operating and maintaining AV systems such as projectors, lighting control panels, and sound equipment.

• Experience managing AV services for hotel events and daily operations.

• Proficient with AV control systems, software, and modern technologies.

• Strong English communication skills—written and verbal.

• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Leadership and team management experience.

• Customer-focused with a professional and courteous demeanor.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Physically able to handle AV equipment up to 25 kg.
