The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is offering an exciting Internal Auditor Internship opportunity. This role supports the implementation of internal audit strategies, ensuring adherence to policies, regulations, and DCT’s risk management framework. The position is ideal for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in auditing, governance, and compliance within a government organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to executing audit plans and maintaining audit methodology and quality standards.

• Perform risk-based audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.

• Prepare audit reports, working papers, and documentation in line with DCT’s standards.

• Maintain detailed records of past audits for analysis and reference.

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

• Draft reports for senior management highlighting compliance levels and internal control efficiency.

• Provide recommendations for improvement and support in risk advisory work.

• Ensure compliance with DCT policies, ethical standards, and operational procedures.

• Support initiatives for continuous improvement, sustainability, and productivity enhancement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Certifications (Preferred): CIA, CA, ACCA, or CPA.

• Experience: Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of experience in auditing, risk management, or a related field.

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent English communication skills (Arabic preferred).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

  • Knowledge of internal audit techniques and data management.

  • Ability to deliver work efficiently in a structured and timely manner.
